"Miss Mannerist"

"Miss Mannerist"

"Miss Mannerist" is the maven of mores and manners for career-impaired
artists, visually challenged curators, and artistic "big-fish-in-a-small pond"
wanna-bees of all kinds. She is the offspring of stand-up comic Mabel McNeil,
who has appeared at the Comic Strip, Surf Reality, and Gladys’s Comedy Room
in Manhattan, as well as at numerous dental conventions, academic conferences,
and bar mitzvahs throughout the country. [Rumor has it that she is a distant
cousin by marriage to Marcia Tucker, former director of the New Museum of
Contemporary Art
in New York—a relationship that Ms.Tucker adamantly denies.]
She is reputed to be the only person ever to have made
Philippe de Montebello
laugh out loud.

Accolades:

"The most amusing (and only) manners maven to have emerged from the art world in centuries."—H.W. Jansen

"I nearly wet my pants."—John Waters

"Filthy, degenerate, perverted, and infinitely harmful to the ideals of our nation
and our nation’s children."—J. Patrick Buchanan

"I didn’t find her the least bit funny."—Roberta Smith

"…Who?"—Oprah Winfrey
